What a fantastic city break! The location is super scenic, surrounded by lovely walks and easy access to the Lakes and Dales. Our cottage was spacious and impeccably clean, providing everything we needed. The food was delicious with generous portions, and the atmosphere was cozy and cute! We especially loved the friendly locals and the beautiful canal views!
Service was a bit rocky. We faced long waiting times for food and not everything on the menu was available. it felt like staff were overwhelmed, leading to a few communication issues. I’d still recommend it but hope they can improve on these aspects!

The hotel and decor were very nice, and the countryside and quiet very good. The cottage was fairly spacious and well equipped.
Very limited vegetarian choice in the restaurant. The rooms in my cottage were cold,

I had a fantastic stay thanks to the modern bathroom and provided toiletries that added a touch of luxury. The room was well-appointed, featuring a comfortable chair and ample storage for my bags, making it both functional and stylish.
The only minor downside was the slightly limited view from the window; however, this did not detract from my overall experience.

A Good Business Stay at Longlands Inn & Cottages
During my recent business trip, I had the pleasure of staying at the Longlands Inn & Cottages, chosen by my director. The location was ideal, nestled conveniently just off the M6, making it easy to travel to nearby towns and attractions. The highlight of my stay was definitely the restaurant; I indulged in their good dinner options, which showcased a fantastic variety of dishes, beautifully prepared and presented. Another great perk was the friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome. I also loved the rustic charm of the inn, which added a cozy atmosphere after a long day of meetings. It felt more like a home away from home, and I can only imagine the charm of their cottages for a more relaxed stay.
No complaints.

The location is fine, surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Plus, the staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant is worth mentioning too; it was just lovely to unwind there.
The food was a letdown. The Christmas dinner was mediocre at best—overcooked and bland, which is such a missed opportunity! My partner found his beef brisket inedible, and the desserts were too thick and heavy. not what we expected for a festive meal.

Facilities and location. Meal at the Italian restaurant at Greenlands Farm very good.
We have stayed at Tewitfield Marine a few times. This time we were closer to the motorway (Kingfisher House) and noise was more noticable but did not detract fom our stay.

The setting is beautiful, with the marina behind and the Lancaster canal running alongside. The cottages themselves have been designed and built to a very high tasteful specification. They are situated apart from the hotel but within easy walking distance, about 2 minutes, within a gated compound, surrounded by attractive gardens. The interiors are gorgeous, beautifully fitted out with leather sofa and chairs, deliciously comfortable beds with luxurious bedding, and lovely solid oak bedroom furniture. Ample electric sockets, and tasteful decor. The bathrooms are superb and the kitchen is fitted out with top of the range appliances and ample equipment.
There was absolutely nothing not to like. In fact I would be very happy to move in and live in one of the cottages, and I live in a lovely converted barn. Nothing has been left to chance in the fitting out and decoration of these cottages, they are delightful.

The. Outrages were lovely and well equipped.
It would have been nice if wifi was available in cottages. Then it would have been good for a business stay. Having Internet availability is becoming essential in this day and age. Wifi was available in the main hotel building but was not very good (intermittent).

The location of the property was great, in which everything worked & wifi was good throughout. The room was spacious with the bedroom, good shower and storage of bags etc, had the best night sleep. We truly enjoyed this hotel and would definitely book again.
